The First Year of Engineering plays a key role in the development of the students to be a potential engineer. The Department has the following two important responsibilities to undertake and execute efficiently:

• To Provide strong academic foundation to fresh minds; and
• To control and manage their distracting tendencies and to shape their career.

The Department has a highly qualified, dedicated, motivated, experienced and result oriented faculty members from IITs and Government Institutions. Most of the facilities having Ph.D. and rest pursuing the same. Faculties regularly upgrading themselves and attending seminars, workshops, conferences and FDPs. Faculties published and presented research papers in Indexed Journal and conferences. For holistic development of the student’s department organize various events and conduct mentor/mentee meetings, to ensure the corrective actions for the improvement whenever required. The department ensured the personal attention and care by monitoring their academic performance, by conducting improvement classes through peer guided self-study methodology, tutorial classes and regular counselling. The Department is well equipped with airconditioned smart classrooms with LED panels, spacious laboratories with advanced facilities.
