Over 60 students attended the seminar, featuring Mr. Pranjal Sharma, a Design & Verification Engineer at Semi Design. Mr. Sharma shared insights into various roles, challenges, and growth prospects in the semiconductor industry. The event provided students with a comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics, emerging trends, and essential skills for careers in semiconductor design, fabrication, testing, and research.

GNIOT ECE Department Workshop on Project-based Learning at IIT Delhi

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at GNIOT organized a two-day workshop on "Project-based Learning using NI Tools" at IIT Delhi from April 12-13, 2024. This event saw 31 enthusiastic ECE 2nd and 3rd-year students gain practical skills for their academic and professional journeys. the workshop covered LabVIEW programming fundamentals, data flow programming, virtual instruments (VIs), and data analysis tools. Students engaged in hands-on project-building sessions, designing front and back panels for real-life problems and witnessing industry-oriented project demonstrations, including those developed for ISRO.

GNIOT Workshop on "MATLAB & Its Applications in Engineering" – March 12-14, 2024

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at GNIOT organized a comprehensive workshop on "MATLAB & Its Applications in Engineering" from March 12-14, 2024. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Dhiraj Gupta, the esteemed Director of the institute, along with Dr. Mukesh Ojha, Head of the ECE Department, and Mr. Nikhil Gupta, Head of the Electrical Department. Their presence underscored the institute's commitment to fostering practical learning experiences for students.

The resource person for the workshop, Mr. Varun Srivastava from NIT Suratkal, led the technical sessions, providing invaluable insights into MATLAB. Day 1 focused on introducing the fundamentals of MATLAB, covering topics such as the MATLAB environment, working with variables, data types, and operators, performing basic mathematical operations, scripting and programming concepts, and creating and manipulating vectors and matrices. Hands-on sessions included tutorials, live coding demonstrations, and Q&A sessions to solidify participants' understanding. The day concluded with participants gaining a foundational knowledge of MATLAB and its capabilities through interactive sessions.

Day 2 continued with great enthusiasm, where Mr. Srivastava guided students through hands-on sessions on signal processing and the machine learning toolbox, allowing them to practice and complete assignments provided by MathWorks. The workshop provided a valuable platform for students to enhance their practical skills and knowledge in MATLAB, essential for their academic and professional journeys. Through this workshop, students were able to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, equipping them with the tools and confidence to tackle real-world engineering problems using MATLAB.

This initiative was made possible due to the efforts of the Director Prof. Dr. Dhiraj Gupta and Dr. Mukesh Ojha, HOD ECE Dept, who organized and facilitated the entire process.

A total of 48 students participated in this visit to provide them with a firsthand understanding of how advanced technology is employed in meteorology and weather forecasting.

Forty-five enthusiastic B.Tech students from the third and fourth years embarked on a journey to the headquarters of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) in New Delhi.

AAI, a vital organization responsible for the creation, management, and upkeep of India's civil aviation infrastructure, provided the students with a firsthand experience of the practical applications of their theoretical learnings.
